The Graduate program offers the opportunity to participate in advance seminar courses, taught by the leading expert scholars in the field, including visiting professors from abroad. Graduate students are required to study an ancient language (Greek or Akkadian, or Egyptian), and its literature, as well as an individual research program, guided by a senior faculty member of the Bible Department. The Master’s thesis may engage either a distinct Biblical topic, or an inter-disciplinary topic that links Biblical scholarship with another discipline.
The Bible Department also sponsors the “The Bible and the Ancient Near East” graduate program at the Rothberg International School.
The Florence and Philip Dworsky Center for Biblical Research grants a small number of scholarships each year to selected students in need of financial aid.
